Following the killing of Abdul Ghafar Hamdard, the director of Medical Education Development of Kabul Medical University, his family members and relatives have asked the caretaker government to identify the killers and hand them over to the law.
Abdul Ghaffar Hamdard's father said that his son did not have any kind of personal enmity with anyone, and a comprehensive investigation should be conducted in this regard.
"While he was going to his clinic, the attackers shot him. They [perpetrators] should be arrested and handed over to the claws of the law,” said Sardar, Hamdard’s father.
"We want the Islamic Emirate to arrest the perpetrators who killed Hamdard. He had no personal enmity with anyone,” said Abdul Rahim, Hamdard’s relative.
Asadullah Nejat, head of Kabul University of Medical Sciences, called the killing of Abdul Ghafar a big loss.
He said: “We share our condolences with his family and the people of Afghanistan. This is a big loss.”
Meanwhile, the Kabul Security Command said that they have arrested one person in connection with this case.
Khalid Zadran, the spokesman of Kabul security command, said: “We got information that on Wednesday evening in 8PD of Kabul city, a doctor named Abdul Ghafar Hamdard was killed in front of his medical clinic. The police arrived on time and arrested one person for this incident.”
Abdul Ghafar Hamdard, who served as the Director of Medical Education Development of Kabul Medical University was murdered near his private clinic in Kart-e-Naw in Kabul.
Earlier, the spokesman of the Ministry of Interior said that more than 75,000 security cameras have been installed in different parts of the country to prevent security and criminal incidents.
