UAE Charity Distributes Iftar Meals Each Day to 5,000 Afghans in Need

Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation (MBRF) of the United Arab Emirates distributes Iftar meals daily to five thousand underprivileged individuals across five provinces of the country.

The warm food packages are distributed to the needy in urban areas.

Officials of this charity foundation have stated that in the coming days, the distribution of food packages to needy families in several more provinces will begin.

The distribution of the food items to the needy started at the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan and is expected to continue until the end of the month.

Sayed Ahmad Silab, a representative of the charity foundation, said: "The process of humanitarian aid by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation (MBRF) continues in five provinces of Afghanistan, with one thousand people in each province."

Citizens suffering from poverty and severe economic challenges are pleased to receive free food.

Rafiq Kabir Husseini, a resident of Kabul, said: "There are needy families in every province of Afghanistan, and such assistance should continue during the month of Ramadan."

Along with the distribution of food to the needy in the city of Herat, food packages are also distributed to orphaned children by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation (MBRF).

In the orphanage center of Guzara district in Herat, 120 children are cared for and in need of assistance.

Mohammad Muslim Marwai, responsible for the distribution of Iftar, said: "The food package that has been prepared is an Iftar package that is distributed daily to one thousand people by four teams in the province of Herat."

Mohammad Shahram Elahi, responsible for the orphanage in Guzara district of Herat, said: "In terms of food, we are weak in the orphanage and cannot provide the best food for these precious children."

In Khost province, warm food is also distributed to one thousand needy people at Iftar time. Residents of this province said they suffer from poverty and hunger and seek more assistance from charity organizations.

Kimyagul, a resident of Khost province, said: "This is a charitable act and it benefits people because they are poor and struggle to find food."

Khairjan, a resident of Khost province, said: "We are very happy that food is being provided to the people, and may God keep the one who has helped in high esteem."

The process of distributing food packages to the needy is also ongoing in two sections of Kandahar this month.

Elhamuddin, responsible for the distribution of Iftar, said: "We have two teams in Kandahar province, one of which is in the seventh district of Mirwais Mina. Each team covers five hundred people."

Zia ul-Haq, a resident of Kandahar, said: "The organization that helps us, their help includes rice, meat, an orange."

The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation (MBRF) continues to assist thousands of needy people with food items daily while life for the underprivileged has become harder during the holy month of Ramadan.

Needy citizens say that due to poverty and destitution, they are even forced to keep fast with empty stomachs. They ask charity organizations to collaborate with them during the holy month of Ramadan.
