At least four insurgents were killed after their own explosives detonated in eastern Nangarhar province on Saturday, 201 Selab Military Corps said in a statement on Sunday.

In addition, five other insurgents were wounded.

The incident took place in Hesarak district of the province on Saturday afternoon while insurgents were planting roadside mines in the district, according to the statement.
