Mazar-e-Sharif Municipality Announces 9% Increase in Revenue

The officials of Mazar-e-Sharif municipality, in a meeting to present the annual report of the department, announced a 9% increase in their revenue in the year 1401. 

Mazar-e-Sharif municipality added that in one year they collected 555 million Afghani in revenue. 

“We had a target to collect 512 million Afghani in 1401, but we collected 555 million Afghani,” said Naqibullah Karimi, the mayor of Mazar-e-Sharif. 

“All of this money will be spent on our city, and our city will be built,” said Noor Hadi Abo Edris, deputy governor of Balkh. 

While the mayor of Mazar-e-Sharif talked about the implementation of more than 20 development projects during the last year, some residents of Mazar-e-Sharif want the implementation of more development projects from the municipality of this province. 

“The schools are necessary, and the clinics are necessary, and the municipality promised them to us,” said Naqibullah Karimi, a community leader. 

The officials of Mazar-e-Sharif municipality mentioned projects including the operation of four roads in the center of the city, planting saplings, the activation of traffic signals, graveling, concrete, and paving of some roads as the most basic activities of the administration in the past year, saying the implementation of another 25 development projects in different parts of this city will be announced in the solar year.
