At least three members of NATO’s Resolute Support (RS) mission were wounded in an attack by an Afghan security force member in Kandahar.
The Resolute Support said in a statement that a convoy of the Resolute Support forces was fired on in Kandahar by a member of the Afghan Civil Order Police and that three RS members in the convoy were wounded, but they did not sustain life-threatening injuries.
The attacker was killed by return fire from RS forces, the RS said in a statement.
“We are reviewing the incident with our Afghan security partners,” the statement said. “Resolute Support continuously assesses force protection measures and we adapt and adjust based on the environment.”
Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
