The country’s power utility, Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat, also known as DABS, said on Saturday evening that the company has reconnected the imported electricity to Kabul – seven days after a power pylon was destroyed by armed militants in Baghlan.
The company said in a statement that the technical team completed its work on the pylon on Saturday.
The power line imports 300 megawatts of Uzbekistan’s power to Kabul and other provinces including Parwan and Kapisa.
Insurgents blew up the pylon last week which cut off power to a number of provinces, including the capital Kabul.
