A number of women’s rights activists held a demonstration in front of the Iranian embassy in Kabul, where they announced their support for the women of Iran.
The protestors also called for women’s rights in Afghanistan.
This comes as the deputy spokesman for the Islamic Emirate said that the acting government is committed to the rights of women, based on Islamic values.
The protestors chanted the slogan: “women, life and freedom”.
“We raise our voices like Iran’s Mahsa because many (people) like Mahsa have been victims in Afghanistan,” said Shukria, a protestor.
The Islamic Emirate said that it ensures the rights of women, based on Islamic values.
“The Islamic Emirate is committed to the rights of all citizens, in an Islamic format, whether it is a child or adult or at any level,” said Bilal Karimi, deputy spokesman for the Islamic Emirate.
The death of Iranian Mahsa Amiri has caused a widespread reaction inside and outside Iran.
