Rattled by recent waves of violence, the Afghan Ministry of Interior (MoI) is taking extra measures to try to ensure security around the second Kabul Process conference which will be held in Kabul on Wednesday.

Afghan officials have said that the conference will streamline a framework for other meetings which will be held on Afghanistan at an international level in future in line with the priorities of the Afghan government. 

The Afghan government is expected to map out its peace plan at the Kabul Process meeting and hopes to garner international support for it.
