After the collapse of the former government in Afghanistan, dozens of fighters related to the group Tahreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were reportedly released as the forces of the Islamic Emirate broke into prisons and released inmates, including high-profile criminals and militants.   

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan said that his country seeks the support of the Islamic Emirate in peace talks with the Tehreek-i- Taliban of Pakistan.
