Nangyalai Kharote, a player for the Afghanistan national cricket team, is striving to reach the 2024 World Cup competitions.
20-year-old Nangyalai Kharote started playing cricket at the age of 9, and says he is working hard to achieve significant accomplishments for Afghanistan.
He initially played cricket at the provincial level in Baghlan and then entered the Shpageeza League in Kabul, where he was named the best young player of the tournament.
"Whether I am selected or not for the 2024 World Cup competitions, I will continue my efforts and hard work, aiming for good performance in domestic games and international matches, and selection is part of life," Nangyalai Kharote told TOLOnews.
After success in the Shpageeza League, Nangyalai participated in First-Class, List A, and domestic One-Day and T20 matches, becoming one of the domestic cricket stars.
Kharote recently took four wickets in the T20 and One Day international matches against Ireland.
"Cricket is a field that if you put in a lot of effort and hard work, you achieve a position, and after reaching a good position, your fans and followers increase, and you must do more effort and hard work," he added.
Nangyalai Kharote is preparing for the Qosh Tepa National T20 Cup 2024 as part of the Boost team, which will start in Kabul after Eid al-Fitr.
