Hashmatullah Shahidi, captain of the Afghan national cricket team, said that the project to build 25 homes for Afghan refugees deported from Pakistan has progressed 80% in Torkham.
Hashmatullah Shahidi also said that in addition to the 25 homes, facilities such as a mosque, a health center, and a library are also planned for these repatriated refugees and will soon be available to them.
Last year, Shahidi launched an international campaign aimed at raising funds for the refugees expelled from Pakistan to Afghanistan.
Previously, several other athletes, particularly from cricket and wushu, had sold their prestigious medals to help the refugees expelled from Pakistan.
