Afghanistan’s snowboard team won a silver and four bronze medals in the First Pakistan International Snowboarding Open Cup, which runs from February 16 to 22, Afghanistan’s Snowboarding Federation confirmed.

This is the first time that Afghanistan’s snowboarders participated in an international competition.

The five athletes are from Panjshir, Bamiyan and Kabul provinces and represent Afghanistan in the competition. 

Previously, the snowboarders also participated in a four-day competition at a winter games competition in Bamiyan.
