Qassem Soleimani’s death in a US air strike in Iraq sparked international reactions and is causing regional security fears at the prospect of increased conflict between the US and Iran.
Some political analysts say that Iran will take revenge, and its revenge will damage Afghanistan also.
CE Abdullah Abdullah, former president Hamid Karzai, as well as many other politicians have all responded to the killing.
President Ghani has said that Afghan soil will not be used for regional conflicts outside of Afghanistan, citing the security pact he signed with the US when he took office.
