Officials Dissolve 8 Departments, Create 6 New Ones

At a news conference, representatives of the Administrative Office of the Islamic Emirate announced that they had dissolved eight departments and established six new ones in order to enhance governance.

Abdul Salam Haqqani, deputy of this institution, added that the employees who lost their jobs in these changes will soon be employed in other institutions.

"The cabinet has decided that their names will be collected in order to clarify their fate..." he said.

Saifuddin Taib, the institution's deputy for policy and monitoring, stated that regarding the cabinet's leadership, they are primarily working to improve the country's economic situation.

"The Islamic Emirate is working to improve the economic conditions of the people and implement a strategy that is focused on the economy so that it can stand on its own. The Islamic Emirate's leadership has also made a decision regarding the cabinet. They will make up the permanent cabinet,” Taib said.

In the past year, the level of corruption in the Islamic Emirate's institutions, particularly the customs, has dramatically dropped, according to remarks made by the officials of this institution.
