Islamic Emirate’s Qatar-Based Political Office Calls to Lift Travel Ban

Islamic Emirate’s Qatar-based Political Office once again asked the United Nations Security Council to lift the travel ban on current government officials.

Suhail Shaheen said to TOLOnews that the interaction of the Islamic Emirate with the international community is a necessity, and the United Nations should lift the travel ban on the current government officials for better interaction.

“Solving some issues in a peaceful way is a need, and in this regard, the ban on the travel of high members of the Islamic Emirate is an obstacle that must be removed as soon as possible,” said Suhail Shaheen, head of the Islamic Emirate’s Qatar-Based Political Office.

Meanwhile, some experts said that until the current government complies with the demands of the international community, the ban on the travel of current government officials will not be lifted and the travel exemption of these officials will not be extended.

“They should find a common language with the international community, in which case it will be possible for the Islamic Emirate to be recognized, the banks to be freed, and the existing rules and restrictions to be removed,” said Wahid Faqiri, a political analyst.

Nearly a year has passed since the end of the travel exemption for thirteen officials of the Islamic Emirate, but the UN Security Council has not yet extended this exemption.
