Humanitarian Foundation Prepared Iftar for 150,000 Afghans

The Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian Foundation prepared iftar for 150,000 people across five provinces in Afghanistan since the beginning of Ramadan.

Officials of this foundation say that during Ramadan, along with preparing iftar, they have also provided cash assistance and food supplies to the needy.

"The Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian Foundation has assisted hundreds of families in various provinces with food supplies, including packages containing nine types of food items, promising to continue their support after Eid as well," Silab, a representative of the foundation, told TOLOnews.

Citizens of the country said they are happy about the support provided to the needy by aid organizations this month.

"During Ramadan, every night when they distribute iftar, about a thousand people gather, and these ceremonies end well," said Mohammad Taqi, a resident of Kabul.

"The population is large, and people are poor because there is not enough income or business," said Mohammad Rajab, a resident of Kabul.

Some residents of western Kabul, welcoming the aid from the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian Foundation during Ramadan, said they expect the foundation to continue its support afterward.

The representative of the humanitarian foundation said that Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum will continue its assistance in various sectors for needy Afghan citizens in the future.
