10 Members Of One Family Murdered In Kabul

Reports indicate at least 10 members of one family were murdered by unknown armed men on Friday evening.

One member of the family, Hamid Qaderi, told TOLOnews that the incident took place in Khairkhana area in Kabul’s PD15.

He said they lost 10 members of their family in Friday night's homicide incident.

According to him, the suspect had a legal issue with the family and that he was recently jailed on charges of two murders, but he was released from police custody after a short time.

He said the incident took place on Friday night at 1am Kabul time.

Qaderi said two of those wounded in the incident are in critical condition. One of them is a child.

He said the victims include four women, four children and two men.

"I run toward the neighbor's house when I realized about the shooting. My brother said lets attack them by stone, but I asked him to run and told him that the attacker had a gun," said one member of the family.

The family had a number of guests when the incident occurred. Three of the guests were wounded in the shooting, eyewitnesses said.

Interior Ministry's deputy spokesman Nusrat Rahimi confirmed the incident and said the family has lost 10 of its members in the homicide case.

He said police have started investigation into the incident.

The victims were laid to rest on Saturday afternoon.
