Taliban Shoots Downs ANA Chopper

Taliban insurgents early Sunday morning shot down an Afghan National Army (ANA) Mi-17 chopper delivering supplies to a base near Pul-e-Khumri city in Baghlan province.‎

According to a source the crew on board reportedly died in the incident.

Taliban has not yet commented on the incident.

Meanwhile in a separate attack Taliban captured a security check post in Jar-e-Khoshk area of central Baghlan district, an official said.

According to the official, in this attack one soldier was killed, two were wounded and three others disappeared.

Both incidents come amid ongoing clashes between security forces and the Taliban in Baghlan province.
