At least seven civilians were killed in a roadside mine blast in northern Parwan province on Tuesday, local officials said.
The incident took place in Sayedkhil district of the province when a group of locals were on their way to a wedding party. The vehicle they were driving in hit a roadside mine, District Governor Ahmad Lemar Osmanyar said.
He said police have started investigations into the blast.
However, no group including the Taliban has claimed responsibility for the blast as yet.
