The residents of Ghazni expressed dissatisfaction over poor internet services in the province, saying that the internet operates very poorly despite having high costs set by the telecommunication companies.

They called on the officials of the Islamic Emirate to address this problem.

“The internet services in the province are very weak and there has been no attention paid to this and it (works) very poorly,” said Javid, a resident of Ghazni.

“The internet is very low and the government should pay attention in this regard,” said Mohammadullah, a resident of Ghazni.  

Meanwhile, some other residents of the provinces called for the extension of telecommunication services and internet to rural areas of the province.  

“Our wish is for the government is to reduce the price of internet because the economic situation of the people is weakened,” said Shah Zaman, a resident of Ghazni.  

This comes as the head of the telecommunication and technology information department of Ghazni, Abdul Wali Tayib Ahmad, said that efforts are underway to solve these problems.  

“We have had meetings with the companies that are providing internet services. We urged the companies to solve the problems of the people,” he said.  

This comes the citizens across the country have repeatedly voiced concerns about the poor quality of telecommunication services in the country.
