The Minister of Education, Habibullah Agha, said that students from now on will study based on a prepared curriculum in their schools and seminaries.

Habibullah Agha, who was on a visit to Sar-e-Pul province, said there should be no distance between the schools and seminaries and thus the new curriculum will be taught in both institutions.

“The schools and universities should not be segregated from each other. The distance between them should be eliminated. We have now prepared a curriculum which can be used both in school and seminary until grade 9. I have gotten permission from Amirul Momineen. Of course, I have gotten permission for grade six, but I will get permission for grade 9 as well,” he said.

This comes as the local officials in Sar-e-Pul called for further facilities to be provided in the educational sector in the province.

“75 major seminaries were allocated for Sar-e-Pul, and its construction was completely finished. I hope the next process phases will be launched so that the remaining seminaries can be built,” said Mohammad Rahmani, head of the provincial department of education.

The education minister earlier visited Jawzjan, where he stressed the need for the improvement of the educational level of Afghanistan.
