More than 400 prisoners have been released from Pul-e-Charkhi prison by the order of the leader of the Islamic Emirate on the occasion of the Eid al-Fitr.

The Supreme Court stated that based on the order of the leader of the Islamic Emirate, more prisoners are expected to be released from prisons across the country before the arrival of Eid al-Fitr.

Abdul Wali Mahmoud, deputy head of the Supreme Court's audit department, said: "In total, 406 individuals have been released, comprised of 338 men, 40 women, and 28 children."

Abdullah Haqiq, head of communication with judicial and legal bodies, said: "Those who were imprisoned and are now being released, as well as all those in prisons, have arrived here due to improper actions and violations of Sharia."

According to the deputy head of the Supreme Court's inspection, some other prisoners have also received sentence reductions based on the order of the leader of the Islamic Emirate.

Meanwhile, officials from the Prison Affairs Regulation Administration stated that the released prisoners were detained for criminal offenses and various other crimes.

Abdullah Hamdard, acting deputy for Policy and Professionalism at the Prison Affairs Regulation Administration, has asked the families of these prisoners not to allow their children to engage in illegal activities again.

Hamdard said: "We ask the families of these prisoners not to allow them in the future to engage in acts that are against Sharia and the law, and which lead to corruption in society."

Habibullah Badr, deputy of the Prison Affairs Regulation Administration, also emphasized that they do not allow torture of prisoners in prison.

Badr said: "It cannot be proven that anyone has been tortured in prison, and we do not allow such a thing."

The deputy head of the Supreme Court's audit department said that about 2,000 prisoners are expected to be released from prisons across the country based on the decree of the leader of the Islamic Emirate.
