15 Taliban Killed In Attack On Kandahar's Nesh District

Kandahr police said Monday that two days ago Taliban insurgents attacked security check posts in Nesh district and after clash with security forces the militants suffered heavy casualties.

Kandahar police spokesman Zia Durrani said a group of Taliban insurgents attacked security check posts, where 15 of them were killed and 30 others were wounded.
 
Zia confirmed the death of six police force members in the attack and said 13 policemen were wounded in the ambush.

Meanwhile, a source told TOLOnews that hundreds of Taliban insurgents attacked security forces' check posts and entered Nesh district's center.

The source said that at the moment clashes are ongoing between security forces and Taliban insurgents.

Nesh district shared border with Uruzgan province.

Taliban has not commented on the report.
