4 Security Force Members Killed in Parwan Clashes

At least four security force members were killed and five others were wounded in a Taliban attack in northern Parwan province on Sunday night, a security source said on Monday.

The clashes took place around 11:20 on Sunday night in Shenwari district after the Taliban attacked the security checkpoints, the source said.

“The clashes continued for nearly four hours and three other security forces are missing,” the source said, adding that “four Taliban were also killed in the clashes.”

The Taliban retreated after the attack and the situation is now controlled by the security forces, he added.

However, neither local security officials nor the Taliban have yet commented on the clashes.
