Mujahid: Kabul Facilitating Transfer of Afghan Businesses from Pakistan

The Islamic Emirate declared that it is providing facilities to Afghan businesses in Pakistan who are seeking to transfer their assets to Afghanistan.

The Islamic Emirate’s spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid, told TOLOnews that all aspects of the transfer of businessmen's capital, including land distribution, obtaining permits and property transfer have been provided for in the country.

"The committee is responsible for providing investment facilities for the immigrants who come from there under the leadership of the country's Minister of Commerce. The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan considers it one of its obligations that the immigrants who invest and come to Afghanistan should be given land according to their specifications, and facilities should be created for them in obtaining permits and transferring their property and money,” Mujahid said.

Meanwhile, the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI), said that it is necessary for the Islamic Emirate to reach an agreement with the interim government of Pakistan so that all assets of Afghan investors are transferred from Pakistan to the country.

"Afghans made up over 35% of Pakistan's economy. We had hundreds of carpet factories, as well as hotels, buildings, and transportation there,” said Khanjan Alkozi, a member of ACCI.

Some economists consider the transfer of businessmen's capital in the country to be beneficial in providing work opportunities and reducing economic challenges.

“The higher the investment in the country, the higher the employment rate. This can create an effective demand in the market. Therefore, the transfer of some companies from foreign countries to the country can be considered a very valuable step,” said Abdul Zuhor Mudaber, an economist.

Earlier, the Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce Nooruddin Azizi, said that they will exempt five years of taxes for businessmen who return to the country.
