Some Afghans who live outside of the country have provided education facilities for free for 200 students in Nirkh district of Maidan Wardak province. 

Officials of this educational center in Maidan Wardak said that efforts are ongoing to spread this process to other villages in this province. 

“Some countrymen who live outside provided education for those who have economic challenges,” said Amir Samim, head of this center. 

“There are students that don’t have the economic ability to buy a pen and notebook, this kind of center is so important for them,” said Mohammad Jawed, a teacher in this center. 

Some students welcomed the center and called for free classes for girls also. 

“Some of our countries provided this facility for us for free,” said Ahmad Zia. 

“The past year, our holidays were very bad due to economic challenges, and we don’t have access to education,” said Shahidullah, a student. 

Meanwhile, officials of the Education Ministry in Maidan Wardak pledged to support these kinds of steps for education. 

“It’s good work that the educational center in winter teaches students for free and we welcomed it, we are cooperating with them and talked with UNICEF about these students' supplies," said Gul Wali Mutaqqi, head of the education of Maidan Wardak.
