Campaign to Help Herat Earthquake Victims Continues

The nationwide collection of aid for the people affected by the Herat earthquake is ongoing in various provinces of the country.

The officials who launched the campaign said that they have been able to collect some other necessary items in addition to cash.

“The donations will be collected here and will be handed over to the officials of the Islamic Emirate,” said Saifuddin Mutasem, head of Information and Culture in Jawzjan.

“All the residents of Nangarhar will see that this aid reaches the residents of Herat in a transparent manner,” said Mohammad Asif Zahir, an official of the Information and Culture Department of Nangarhar.

“Help these earthquake victims. The governor has also helped half a million of these victims,” said Shams-ul-Haq Haqbim, an official of the Paktia province.

The collectors of these donations said that the process will continue in the coming days, but they want more donations from domestic and foreign donors.

“In this type of event, we all must come and gather and stand with the nation,” said Baser Ahmad, a resident of Kandahar.

“My request to the people is to help the earthquake victims and that the collection process continues,” said Zabihullah a Paktia resident.

The earthquake on Saturday in the Zinda Jan district of Herat leveled several villages and caused many fatalities as well as financial losses.
